Fai Baba opens another window into the world before «Sad and Horny»

With «Geographical Tongue (Prequel Version)» Fai Baba opens another window into the world before «Sad and Horny».

Recorded during an early session with Domi Chansorn on drums, this version still belongs to «The Fragile World of Fai Baba» — the unreleased album that existed before everything changed. Fai Baba later recorded the remaining instruments himself. The song would eventually be re-produced by Domi and find its way onto «Sad and Horny» in a different form.

But here it sounds more fragile, more open, somehow sadder. The Leslie effect on the vocals gives the track a strange distance, as if the song were listening to itself from somewhere else.

After ten years in a drawer, it’s time to bring this version to light.
