Strange Modes play experimental pop that constantly threatens to break out of its dreamy enclosure. Their music is the kind of music that not only penetrates the ear, but also all the pores of the body. The tempo wavers, pitched voices lure you into other realities, tender sounds become entangled in dense constructions.
At times, gentle melodies shatter against brute walls – soft, dark, ecstatic – and then suddenly everything is turned upside down. Or has it always been like this?
