«Blankets» by Boxwell captures the final endless Sundays spent with a lover, finding comfort in each other while sensing the approaching departure. They are wrapped in blankets, watching the sun enter through the window, time seemingly suspended. «Blankets» weaves a soothing texture, combining electronic drums with acoustic guitar and layered synthesizers.

«I wrote Blankets in order to come to terms with the strangeness of saying goodbye while still in love», comments Max. «You’re in the other person’s arms while mutually reassuring each other that you’re doing the right thing. It’s such a pure form of love, you genuinely want the other person to be happy, despite the personal cost. I wanted to write a song that describes the weeks leading up to this and their unlikely beauty.»
