10 Years of Sad and Horny or the beginning of a previously hidden story.

In November 2026, the album «Sad and Horny» celebrates its tenth anniversary. Since its original release, songs like «Why Do I Feel So Alone»or «Nobody But You» have become classics. And for many, the album is still something very special. For Fai Baba it was a turning point. And what hardly anyone knows: before «Sad and Horny» was released in 2016, the album already existed, fully completed, in another version and under the name «The Fragile World of Fai Baba». This album was recorded in 2015, mixed in New York – and never released.

As Fai Baba remembers:
«After separating from my band at the time, I withdrew. I wanted to rethink everything. I played almost all the instruments myself. The first sessions were recorded live with Arno Troxler on drums – direct, raw, without much thought. Later a second session followed with Domi Chansorn. Again: intuitive, fast, honest.»

2016 changed everything.

«My collaboration with Domi became more intense. We played concerts as a duo, developed a new energy. Songs were newly produced, new pieces were added, and from this process «Sad and Horny» finally emerged.»

For the 10-year anniversary, this archive opens up for the first time and will, until November 2026, offer a view into previously unreleased songs and versions.

The beginning is «Who’s the Leader of Your Heart» – with Arno Troxler on drums, Réka Csiszér on vocals and Sha (member of Nik Bärtsch’s Ronin) on clarinet. With this first release of the series begins the journey back to the songs before «Sad and Horny».

Fai Baba:
«I didn’t know back then where this journey would lead me. But I felt that I had to start everything anew.»
